Brewery and the Beast

Brewery and the Beast is a locally owned brewery and restaurant in Garrett County, in the Deep Creek Lake area, and it describes itself as the county’s first brewery. The original location is in Accident, and a second location has opened in historic downtown Oakland. The brewers make small-batch specialties and seasonal beers meant to reflect the character of the area, and the drafts rotate. Much of the food is sourced from local farm partners, so the menu changes often around staples such as pretzel bites with beer cheese, truffle Parmesan fries and fried wings, along with daily specials. The atmosphere is family-friendly, and the business also offers catering. It aims to bring residents and visitors together over house beer and food in a welcoming setting.
