Crooked Crab Brewing Company

Crooked Crab Brewing Company is Odenton’s hometown brewery and opened on February 10, 2018 as the first brewery in Anne Arundel County. Its founders, Earl Holman, Alex Josephs and Daniel Messeca, are Maryland natives who graduated from the University of Maryland and spent years visiting breweries and festivals and homebrewing. The idea came together during a brewery visit in Rockville. They wanted a brewery Marylanders could be proud of and chose Anne Arundel County because, despite being home to the state capital, it had no local brewery. The taproom pairs a core lineup and frequent can releases with an in-house pizza kitchen, and pizza is also available for pickup. Weekly trivia and military discounts are regular features, and the brewery takes taproom reservations and distributes its beer. Cans and merchandise are sold at the taproom.
