5th Company Brewing

5th Company Brewing is a brewery, restaurant and event space in historic downtown Perryville, in Cecil County. Its name comes from local Revolutionary War history. A nearby tavern was once owned by Col. John Rodgers, who hosted George Washington and Thomas Jefferson and raised the 5th Company militia, and the brewery carries that theme through its stories and beer names. The goal is easy-drinking, approachable beer made with quality, locally sourced ingredients. A 10-barrel brewhouse produces the beers, ciders and seltzers on tap, which guests can order at the bar or pour from a self-serve beer wall. The restaurant serves a full food menu. There is patio seating outside, and the building has two event spaces, one large and one small, for public and private events. The calendar runs from live music to themed nights.
