Frey’s Brewing Company

Frey’s Brewing operates at Frey’s Farm, an event farm, outdoor venue and tasting room in Mount Airy, on the Frederick County side of town. Air Force veteran Adam Frey established the business in 2012, and the tasting room opened in early 2019 in a fully renovated bank barn about 200 years old. The farm sits in a quiet valley of fields, rolling hills and natural wetlands, and the owners aim to keep the setting relaxed. The drink list goes well beyond beer, covering hard cider, wine, mead, hard seltzer and seltzer-based cocktails, beer and wine cocktails, mocktails and non-alcoholic beer. The barn and grounds host private rentals such as weddings, retirements, birthdays, rehearsals and company gatherings, and larger outdoor events can draw thousands. Children of all ages are welcome as long as those under 12 are supervised, and the farm holds pop-up events such as dance nights.
