RAK Brewing

RAK Brewing Co. is a brewery in downtown Frederick whose name stands for Random Acts of Kindness. It was inspired by the giving spirit of owners Joe and Troyce Gatewood, who run the business with fellow owner Steve McIntyre. Encouraging kindness and giving back to the community is central to how the brewery operates. RAK has two spaces. The Yard is the main brewery space, and The Lounge is a speakeasy-style room with a Roaring Twenties theme that also serves a curated wine list. A full food menu comes from the brewery’s partner, dōp. RAK describes itself as a community hub where good times and good deeds meet, with events, specialty drinks, games and distinctive food. The beer is also distributed, and the brewery takes private event bookings and reservations.
