Hopkins Farm Brewery

Hopkins Farm Brewery is a family-owned farm brewery near Havre de Grace. The Hopkins family has farmed this land since the 1920s, with dairy cattle, canning tomatoes, grain crops and a produce stand over the years. The idea of brewing with barley malted from the farm’s own grain began in 2018, and the brewery opened in 2020. Brewer Aaron Hopkins grew up on the farm, studied agribusiness at the University of Delaware and attended brewing school at Central Washington University. He brewed at DuClaw and Independent Brewing before founding Chesapeake Malting Company in 2014, which supplies locally grown malt to Maryland breweries and distilleries, including this one. Food trucks and live music are regular features. Visitors may bring their own food and chairs, families are welcome, and pets are not allowed.
