Manor Hill Brewing
About
Manor Hill Brewing operates on a 54-acre working family farm in Ellicott City. It began brewing in June 2015 as Howard County’s first farm brewery and describes itself as Maryland’s largest. The farm grows 14 acres of non-GMO corn and keeps egg-laying chickens, honeybee hives, pygmy goats and free-range Angus cattle, and a seasonal farm stand sells its beef and garden produce. Farm corn goes into 14 Acres, a traditional corn lager. The range runs from approachable everyday styles to barrel-aged farmhouse ales made with blackberries or Riesling grapes, and cans and bottles are sold around Maryland and DC. The brewery says it emphasizes local sourcing and sustainability. Visitors can sit indoors, outdoors or under a covered tent, a pizza trolley serves brick-oven pizza, and the farm has two private event spaces.
