Battery Island Brewing Company

Battery Island Brewing Company is a veteran-owned brewery in historic downtown Havre de Grace, in Harford County. It began when a friend needed space for his brewing gear and Kyle was keen to learn the craft, and years of homebrewing followed. The brewery’s stated goals are to make good beer across traditional and contemporary styles, to take an active part in the Havre de Grace community, and to honor veterans and active service members in Harford County. The owners describe the town’s waterfront, strong community and walkable historic downtown as part of the appeal, and they support local events and businesses where they can. The brewery partners with local businesses, backs the homebrewing movement and serves food alongside its beer. Online ordering is available, and the taproom hosts events on a regular calendar.
