Mystique Barrel Brewing

Mystique Barrel Brewing and Lager House is a Pigtown brewery in Baltimore that makes lagers alongside mixed-fermentation and barrel-aged beers. The founder came up through homebrewing competitions and worked across the local industry, including at Mobtown, Checkerspot, Suspended Brewing and Maryland Homebrew, to learn every side of the business before opening. The brewery took over the space Suspended Brewing left when it relocated, and it opened in November 2023 after a long buildout with construction setbacks. The interior uses reclaimed wood tables and shelving salvaged from the build. The name comes from mixed fermentation, which uses wild yeast and other living microbes to make complex and less predictable beers. Its barrel-aged beers can take months or years. It has a full kitchen and is family-friendly and dog-friendly, and free street parking is available nearby.
