Pipe The Side Brewing Company

Pipe The Side Brewing Company is a small-batch brewery and taproom in Hampstead, run by Tim and Carol. The brewery honors the memory of Tim Eckels Jr., who was lost in the USS John S. McCain accident on August 21, 2017, and the owners aim to carry his qualities forward in the business’s culture. The owners care more about the difference their small brewery can make in the community than about growing large. They take part in roadside and park clean-ups and local fundraisers, and they support local restaurants and makers through a local eats discount and maker nights. The beer list skips smoothie sours, cereal beers and very high-strength beers in favor of an approachable rotation of classic and sometimes historic styles, with an occasional trendy one, and guests are invited to request styles.
