Elder Pine Brewing & Blending Co

Elder Pine Brewing & Blending Co. is a brewery in Gaithersburg, built on the owners’ family farm. Its four founders, George, Paul, David and Andrew, include two brewers and two brothers, with backgrounds in music, art, engineering and chemistry. As the name suggests, Elder Pine both brews and blends. Blending means combining finished beers into one with layered flavors, textures and aromas. The brewery’s focus is classic styles with a modern twist, made with a commitment to ingredient purity and honest methods that the founders see as a tribute to earlier brewers. Its releases have covered a wide range, from West Coast and hazy IPAs to imperial red and triple IPAs, smoked stouts, spiced holiday ales, and barrel-aged porters and imperial stouts. The farm has a tasting room and a food truck, and the beer is also sold elsewhere.
