7 Locks Brewing

7 Locks Brewing is a Rockville brewery and taproom that has been part of the Montgomery County community since 2015. The taproom and brewery fill a 7,200-square-foot warehouse with plenty of parking. The founders set out to make well-executed, thoughtful beers that reflect their idea of local craft beer as welcoming and inclusive. The brewery works on a 15-barrel system and puts its own spin on classic styles with a balance of malt and hops, along with some less traditional beers. Its philosophy is that beer doesn’t need to be complicated to be good. Its rotating taps feature the flagship Devil’s Alley IPA alongside Redland Lager, Surrender RyePA and seasonal and limited releases. Food trucks rotate through, live music is common on Saturday nights, and the beer is sold around Maryland and Washington, DC.
