Springfield Manor Winery Distillery Brewery

Springfield Manor is a combined winery, distillery and brewery on a 130-acre estate near Thurmont, in Frederick County. The property sits over its own limestone aquifer, and the estate takes its name from the spring water that aquifer produces. The farm grows grapes, lavender, corn and hay, keeps an apiary of about 35 hives and is home to plenty of wildlife, along with mature trees that include lindens brought over from Germany centuries ago. The brewery works on a 7-barrel system and keeps 11 beers on tap, from IPAs and ales to porters, sours and seasonal specials, all made on the farm. The distillery produces gin and vodka, including a lavender gin. Guests gather in a renovated barn with indoor tasting bars, an outdoor patio and event space, and a small-plates menu is served. The estate supports many local charities and community groups.
