Doc Waters Cidery

Doc Waters Cidery is an estate cidery in Germantown that grew out of Waters Orchard, a pick-your-own apple orchard run by Washington White and Susan Butler. The couple opened the cidery as the first in Montgomery County, making cider from apples grown on site, and it became known for a fresh, tart style. In 2021 they sold the orchard and cidery to Hallie, Tyler and Ben Butler, their niece and nephews, who now run both and are committed to expanding them. The cidery is a social spot as well as a production site, with reservable fire pits, trivia nights and visiting food trucks, and it offers a cider club. The orchard sits nearby on the same road and opens for seasonal apple picking. Leashed pets are welcome at the cidery but not in the orchard, and the cidery also hosts school field trips.
