Lone Oak Farm Brewing Company

Lone Oak Farm Brewing Co. is a farm brewery in Olney, in Montgomery County, set on nearly 29 acres of fields, streams and a pond. The owners describe it as a farm with a brewery rather than the other way around, and the property grows barley, hops, berries and hay and keeps bees for honey, some of which goes into the beer. The farm takes its name from a pre-Civil War oak tree. Earlier owners included Samuel Riggs IV, of the family behind Riggs Bank, who bought the farm in 1949. The brewery was founded by brothers Chris and Charlie Miller with partners Ralph and Ryan Mollet. The brewhouse and taproom were built with local lumber for the posts, beams and bar. The site also includes Fallen Oak Distilling, with its own tasting room, and offers group event space.
